The Layout Configuration is where you decide how your Beverages On Screen Solution’s Menu will look like. Below is the main Layout Configuration Screen.
At the top of the screen you have three tabs. BOSS supports up to three screens and each screen can have a different layout. Some versions of BOSS allow for one screen, others two or three screens.
The Layout Selection section allows you to select the layout you want to use and then shows some basic information about that layout.
Layout Extras allows you to enable / disable the Logo (cannot be disabled in the HomeBrewer Lite Version). The Switch Beverages Timer allows you to use a layout that has fewer beverages than you have and will update the screen based on the number of seconds entered into the box. For example let’s say you have 8 beverages however you selected a layout that only shows 4. You could set the timer to 30 seconds and then the first four beverages would be shown on the menu and after 30 seconds the second set of beverages would be shown. After another 30 seconds the first 4 would be displayed again. Some layouts contain a Header Text Section – this allows you to display any text you would like in that section – for example you might type something like “Our Tap List” in the Header Text.
The Background section allows you to choose what the back of your menu will look like. You can select from the built in images, your own image, solid color or gradient colors.
Some of the layouts have a border around elements within the menu. The Border section allows you choose to display the border or not and what color you would like the border to be.
The Commercial Area is where you add an image or video to layouts that contain those options.
Appearance section allows you to choose if you want your menu to display the same fonts for all of your beverages or use the fonts that you selected when you added your beverages. This section allows you to configure the fonts that can be used for all of the beverages.
The Layout Supports section shows which items can be displayed on the menu.
The Preview button allows you to see the layout with sample information. This allows you to see what the background, fonts, etc will look like before you save the layout.
The Save This Layout button saves the layout making it available to be displayed.
Let’s setup your first layout #
